Fibromyalgia (FM) is a chronic pain illness. It is characterized by long-term, body-wide pain and tender points in joints, muscles, tendons, and other soft tissues. While most anti-depressants work on either the serotonin neurotransmitter system or the norepinephrine neurotransmitter system, Cymbalta works on both systems.
